Convocatoria de plazas postdoctorales en el Instituto Mixto de Big Data Financiero UC3M-BS

Salary: 32,000 €/ year.

Applications are welcome for two-year postdoctoral research positions at the Institute UC3M-BS Big Data for Finance, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain. After the first year, a performance evaluation will be carried out to confirm continuation of the contract for the second year. Strong analytical and modelling skills and good knowledge of computing languages such as R, Python or Spark, are required. Knowledge of Big Data tools will be also considered. We are looking for people capable of working independently to solve complex, loosely described problems, while communicating openly with other team members. The applicants must have a PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Business or a related discipline by October (2018).

Duties include modelling, computing, drafting papers and working on applied research problems proposed to the Institute by public or private institutions. Some hours of teaching may also be requested. The position will be based in Madrid within an international, multidisciplinary team, with regular interaction with European and US team members. Some traveling is required.
